The evenings are getting shorter and definitely colder. We are enjoying to come home having a cup of tea and cuddling up on the sofa with a book. Warm Colours like red, orange, mustard green, brown and dark green are back.
Here are some tips to make your home cosy and create beautiful autumn decorations.
- We have put away our garden furniture and back are candles , dried leaves and pumpkins . Get creative with leaves , chestnuts and pine cones which you collected on your last Sunday afternoon walk with kids. Arrange them on your table, shelves, window benches or console tables.
- Get a nice bunch of flowers ideally in warm colors for the middle of the table. Use eucalyptus, dried leaves, dried oranges to bright up the bouquet . Check out artificial plants and flowers , you can find amazing stuff and the advantage is to use it every year again. For more cosiness a couple of light strings do an amazing job. Arranged in a glass or along console tables they will definitely add to the flair. is it time for a new table lamp?
- Use dishes in different colours and shapes. This adds interesting texture and creates a feeling of happiness.New trend: mix your dining chairs in colour and shape. This gives your dining room so much style and a modern feel . Different cushion and a couple of throws change the room straight away and they can be easily stored away in rustic baskets.
Start making your home cosy for the cold months and let me know how you are getting on.
